Activities Coordinator Assistant Intern - PAID

Who We Are:

InReach provides a wide variety of supports and services across the lifespan for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.

What We Need: Part-time Intern to support adult individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a group setting within the Community Works department.

What You'll Do:

• Assists with planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring programs and events that meet the needs of day support participants.
• Assists with individual participation.
• Assists with agency and program functions.
• Assists with operations.
• Cares for customers.
• Respects customers.
• Assists with the facilitation of access to community resources.
• Assists with the contribution of team effort.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Currently enrolled in college
• Valid Driver's License
• Strong verbal skills
• Positive outlook
• Friendly and Caring demeanor
• Willingness to Learn and Grow
• Experience helping people with disabilities.

Hours: Monday's Tuesday's & Thursday's 9:00am - 4:00pm, flexible based on applicants needs

Location: 520 Clanton Rd Suite A Charlotte, NC 28217

Rate: $12.00 per hour

Job Type: Intern, Part-time 15-25 hrs/week. 4-6 month internship
